Perfect partnership between mas band and beer brand

The signing of an agreement between Carib Brewery Limited (CBL) and Tribe Mas was hailed as the beginning of the “Perfect Partnership” between two of the biggest brands in Trinidad and Tobago.

The historic contract signing occurred last Wednesday at the Ansa McAl booth at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port-of-Spain where CBL also took the opportunity to say “thank you” to the media for its continued support.

Carib’s Marketing Manager, Antron Forte, told the gathering that it was really a special day for them at CBL. He said: “As you know, Carib has been a part of and synonymous with Trinidad and Tobago culture. We have always been a trendsetter, and today is no different.”

He then addressed the Tribe family saying: “Welcome to our Carib world,” adding they expect that 2015 will be an amazing year, given Carib’s extensive programme of events for the season.

Tribe head, Dean Ackin, expressed his great pleasure as he welcomed all to an evening where Tribe celebrated its new partnership with Carib Beer and as he said, many of the Brewery’s great brands.

He also said: “Both Tribe and Carib are well established locally, mainly within the culture of TT and the spirit of the region. One day I do hope that Tribe will become an iconic brand in TT as Carib has become.”

Ackin then spoke of the good working relationship they have had with the CBL team and their brands over the years, through the other entities within their group.

He stated, “Some might say it was inevitable for our two companies to take this relationship up a notch to a different level. And so, here we are this evening, celebrating great things that we can do together to promote Trinidad Carnival.”

Carib’s products, he said, are about creating a superior consumer experience and Tribe is about creating the ultimate Carnival experience. “So together I am confident that we will surpass expectations of the Tribe masquerader at our events and on the road,” said Ackin.

He once again thanked the CBL team saying: “We look forward to working with you in 2015 and beyond.”

The agreement between the two parties was then signed by Abdel Ali, Carib’s Marketing Director and Dwayne Nobrega, Tribe’s Events Director, and witnessed by Forte.
